JESSICA STOKES
As one of Australia’s leading vocal and performance studios, JS Vocal & Performance is led by founder and creative director Jess Stokes, who is dedicated to creating an inspiring, fun, and creative space for aspiring singers, emerging artists, and triple-threat performers in the performing arts. With over 20 years of experience in the entertainment industry, Jess has built a studio where students at every level — from recreational to industry training — can develop their skills, confidence, and creative identity in a supportive and nurturing environment.
Jess is a Top 6 finalist on So You Think You Can Dance Australia and has contributed to major productions including The Voice, Australian Idol, and Happy Feet 2 and some of the accomplished industry artists around the world.
At JS, training goes beyond technique, focusing on mindset, discipline, creativity, and real-world career development.

At JS Vocal and Performance Studios, we follow the school year across four terms, with select holiday offerings.
Our programs run throughout all four terms, catering to all levels — from recreational to pre-professional — providing structured training, creative development, and performance opportunities year-round.
What sets us apart is our focus on more than just technique. We offer a unique blend of vocal and performance training, artist development, and industry mentorship, empowering every student to grow in confidence, skill, and stage presence.

ALL JS STUDENTS ARE INVITED TO PARTICIPATE AS PART OF OUR PERFORMER PROGRAM PATHWAYS THAT CO-INCIDE WITH REGULAR WEEKLY CLASSES AND PROGRAMS.
ADDITIONAL COSTS ARE APPLICABLE FOR PARTICIPATION IN THIS PROGRAM, WHICH INCLUDE EXTENDED REHEARSALS AND PRODUCTION PREPARATION REQUIRED TO DELIVER THE FULL PERFORMANCE EXPERIENCE.
The JS Productions Performing Program is open to all JS students and runs twice a year as part of our Mid-Year and End-of-Year production seasons. This program provides a structured, large-scale performance experience designed to give all students professional stage opportunities within a full production environment. Students participate in additional rehearsals, specially featured performances, and collaborative staging alongside peers across all levels — including Elite programs, Preschool, Junior School, and Private Lesson students.
The program runs in conjunction with weekly classes, with additional rehearsals scheduled depending on each student’s program and performance requirements.
An additional program cost applies per production season, contributing to production delivery, rehearsals, staging, and associated performance elements. All performances are ticketed events, allowing friends and family to attend and experience students in a live audience setting.

Our YOUNGSTARS preschool performer program is custom designed especially for our littlest performers, combining singing, performance and dance in a nurturing, confidence-building environment.
Through imagination and play, students develop:
